Getting Here

Puerto Vallarta is easily accessible by land, sea and air from major urban centers within Mexico and North America.  Located on the Mexican Pacific coast, the maritime corridor to Baja California and California make it a popular cruise ship port.

The destination is linked to the major western region cities, mainly Guadalajara, and Mexico City further out. Puerto Vallarta’s bus terminal allows many access routes to and from other important destinations in Mexico and now include luxury coach seats operated by companies such as ETN, Primera Plus, Elite, Futura, Vallarta Plus, Estrella Blanca, TAP and Pacífico.

The recently expanded and renovated “Gustavo Díaz Ordaz” International Airport  (PVR) offers excellent connectivity on commercial carriers from Guadalajara, Monterrey, Toluca, Mexico City and major U.S airports.  Charters arrive daily from Canada, the U.S and Europe as well as South America.

Likewise, Puerto Vallarta is considered one of the most famous port towns along Mexico’s pacific coast. A recent expansion to the cruise ship port, all in line with security and environmental regulations, increased its capacity to receive up to four ships simultaneously without losing its ability to transport passengers. Each year Puerto Vallarta‘s port receives 270 cruise ships transporting 500,000 visitors on shore excursions from leading cruise ships carriers.  We have one cruiseline with a Home Port in Puerto Vallarta visitors can board right here in town and coast the Mexican Pacific Seaboard for a short 7 day cruise:
